Hannah Rachel Cole holds a a B.A. from Brown University and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Cornell University. Before joining UCSC, she taught in Harvard University’s History & Literature program and served as Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University’s Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration and the Yale Environmental Humanities Program.
Environmental humanities; plant studies; 20th-century Caribbean literature; the aftermaths of the plantation system; postcolonial theories and literatures; climate change
